The views module is built into Backdrop CMS core. Views allows you to build dynamic displays of your content. You can create powerful filters and sorts to display your data dynamically. In our opinion, the views module maybe the most distinguishing feature in Backdrop CMS from other tools such as Wordpress.
You will be able to learn the basics of the views module in an hour or two, but it may take weeks to get proficient with some of it's advanced features.
The views modules works very much the same in Backdrop CMS as it does in Drupal 7. If you are experimenting with the views modules you can look at virtually any Drupal 7 resource for views and find that views itself looks and operates very similarly.
The interface for the views module can be quite intimidating, but it's very powerful once you learn to use it. Don't let it intimidate you, it's worth learning at least a little about the views module.
